On Wednesday we went to Puke Ariki  to learn more about pa  sites and look at their models to get more ideas.

On Wednesday we went to Koru Pa. Pa sites have kumara  pits where maori store their food.

Koru Pa site had a  secret path  so the maori that live in the pa can get there faster.

Student Led Conferences

Tomorrow my parents are coming for our conferences. I'm feeling excited because I want to show Mum and Dad what I have been doing in class especially Daily 5  because you get to chose what five activites in Daily 5.

Lost in the city

Ahhhhh help! I was lost in the city. I saw strangers running past me like  Cheetahs having a race. I also saw loud, excited kids having fun -  but I was still afraid.

 I was boiling like a pot on the stove boiling as hot as fire because the scorching sun was beaming down. And I was also starving  like a dog could be.I had goosebumps because I walked under a huge skyscraper and it was freezing cold.

My hands were prickly like the prickliest hedgehog I’d ever seen.I was wobbly.I felt like I wanted to faint.I was anxious.

I saw a familiar person in a jewelry shop nearby. She was running to me!I was freaked but when I went closer I saw it was Mum!I ran and jumped into her lap and I shouted loudly to Mum because it was really windy, “I miss you Mum!"

*I like rugby because you get to tackle and my favourite player is Liam Messam because he is strong.

*My favourite place in NZ for a holiday is Auckland because they have a theme park and it is Rainbows end.

*My four favourite friends are Cooper, Josh, Rian, Corbin, because they all like rugby.




*I've got five people in my family and my cat.

*My birthday is in April.



*My best friend is Cooper because he's funny and when I get stuck Cooper sticks up for me.

*My favourite subject at school is maths because its fun and when I make a mistake I like it, because I learn more maths.

Book review

In class we have been working on a book review. A  book review is a book that you read at squirt time and we had to write about it.  If you see it on the wall and you like the sound of it you should read it because it is ten out of ten.  You can get it out of the library you will be really interested. Squirt is when you have a book to read after lunch when the bell rings to come inside while we're waiting until the teacher comes.
